The Ohio Athletic Conference has named Muskingum Volleyball Head Coach Hallie Donathan Coach of the Year for her outstanding performance this season. The Muskingum volleyball team went 3-1 at the DePauw Invitational, beating Earlham 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-19), Rose-Hulman 3-1 (24-15, 25-22, 16-25, 25-21), Transylvania 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-18), and falling to DePauw 1-3 (16-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-25).
The Muskingum volleyball team will take its 6-1 record to the DePauw Invitational on Friday, September 14, and Saturday, September 15.
The Muskingum volleyball team dominated at the Kenyon Tournament finishing 3-0 on the weekend. Beating Grove City 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-14), Mount Saint Joseph 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-16), and Kenyon 3-1 (25-18, 25-23, 22-25, 25-18).
The Muskingum volleyball team will take its 3-1 record to the Kenyon Tournament on Friday, September 7, and Saturday, September 8.
The Muskingum volleyball team crushed back-to-back matches against Washington and Lee and Washington and Jefferson at the Classic Columbus Battle on Friday at Otterbein. Finishing 2-0, the Muskies earned a 3-2 win over Washington and Lee (25-23, 25-18, 17-28, 19-25, 15-5) and a 3-0 (26-24, 25-9, 25-20) straight-set win against Washington and Jefferson.
Muskingum head volleyball coach Hallie Donathan has announced the selection of captains for the 2018 season. Senior defensive specialist Jordan Youngs, sophomore outside hitter Brynn Guist, sophomore setter Erin Dickson, sophomore outside hitter Brooke Fatheree, and sophomore outside hitter Jessica Cottle will direct the Muskies on their 2018 fall campaign.
The Muskingum volleyball team under the direction of Head Coach Hallie Donathan returns 12 lettwinners and three starters from last year’s 20-win team that finished fourth in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Muskies will look towards a strong returning nucleus and a blue-chip recruiting class to help Muskingum challenge for a top spot in the league this fall.
