Youngs, Guist, Dickson, Fatheree, and Cottle named volleyball captains
Muskingum head volleyball coach Hallie Donathan has announced the selection of captains for the 2018 season. Senior defensive specialist Jordan Youngs, sophomore outside hitter Brynn Guist, sophomore setter Erin Dickson, sophomore outside hitter Brooke Fatheree, and sophomore outside hitter Jessica Cottle will direct the Muskies on their 2018 fall campaign.

Youngs, a returning captain, has played in 83 matches and 293 sets. Throughout her three years, she has registered 696 digs, 55 assists, and 85 points. Last season, she was among the four on her team to be awarded with an Academic All-OAC Honor Roll accolade.
Guist has played in seven matches and 15 sets and is a key component to the Muskie offense.
During her freshman season, Dickson recorded a team-best 759 assists and added 397 digs and 63 kills.
Fatheree, an Honorable Mention All-OAC honoree last season, ended her freshman campaign with a team-best 299 kills (3.48 kills-per-set) and ranked second with 301 digs (3.50 digs-per-set). She also chipped in 37 total blocks, 32 assists and 32 service aces. Fatheree finished the regular season ranked ninth in kills and fourth in service aces in the OAC.
Cottle has played in six matches and 12 sets where she registered 14 digs.
Muskingum opens the season on Friday, August 31, vs. Washington and Lee at Otterbein. Game time is slated for 4:00 p.m.
