Muskingum opened the 2026 season on the road Saturday afternoon, falling 19–3 to Centre at South Turf Field in Danville, Kentucky.
Senior Maria Decaminada, freshman Lindsay Davis, and junior Malena Brady each found the back of the net for Muskingum.
Davis opened the scoring for the Muskies early in the second quarter with a man-down goal, Brady followed later in the period on an assist from sophomore Laila Saksa, and Decaminada added Muskingum's third goal in the fourth quarter.
In goal, freshman Izzy Oxenham anchored the defensive effort, recording 12 saves in 54:18 of action.
On the ground, Muskingum was led by a balanced group as the team finished with nine ground balls.
Decaminada, Davis, freshman Leah Meny, and senior Kasi Tully each collected two ground balls, while junior Amanda Charness added one.
Audrey Haines led Centre with five goals and four assists.
Muskingum next hosts Chatham on Wednesday, February 18. The game is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
