Muskingum Stunt won a 25-24 thriller over Malone in front of an energized Steele Center on Senior Night.
Muskingum honored four seniors before the matchup: Isabella Henderson, Kelley Masloski, Gillian Smith, and Tayler Wolford. The Muskies responded with one of their most competitive performances of the season, improving to 12-2 on the year.
The night had the feel of a postseason matchup from the opening whistle. Muskingum jumped out early, winning the first quarter 6-2 after taking three of the first four routines to build momentum in front of the home crowd.
Malone settled in during the second quarter, matching the Muskies routine-for-routine. The teams traded points throughout the quarter, and the Pioneers pulled even just before halftime as the score sat tied 9-9 at the break.
The third quarter stayed just as tight. Neither team was able to create separation, with the lead changing hands multiple times before Muskingum carried a narrow 14-13 advantage into the final quarter.
The final frame delivered exactly the kind of finish that fit the Senior Day atmosphere. Both teams traded points late, and the Muskies were forced to hold off a final push from Malone in the closing routines. Muskingum ultimately secured the final point of the night to seal a 25-24 win and complete the one-point victory, earning free wings cards for all students in attendance.
With the win, the Muskies capped off a special night that celebrated the program's seniors while also showcasing the team's ability to execute under pressure.
