Coach Holycross Named Regional Coach of the Year; Three Muskies Named Academic All-Americans
The Muskingum archery program received national recognition from USA Archery, with Head Coach Craig Holycross named Regional Coach of the Year. In addition, freshman Kelly Hawvermale, junior Kylee Brookover, and sophomore Kaitlyn Oswald were named to the Academic All-American Team.

This marks the fourth straight year that Coach Craig Holycross has been named North Regional Coach of the Year. He led the Muskies to another impressive season, highlighted by 22 first-place, 12 second-place, and 20 third-place finishes in individual and team events. Holycross, who was honored as the National Coach of the Year last year, now advances once again to the national ballot.
Hawvermale, Brookover, and Oswald earned their prestigious honors by meeting all the qualifications for the All-American Academic Team.
This team recognizes top-performing archers in each division and class, based on the following criteria:

The archer must be a full-time collegiate student eligible to compete in the 2025 Spring Semester.

They must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 through the Fall 2024 term.

USA Archery selects the top 25% of archers, ranked by score, from each division and class at the U.S. National Indoor Championships. Archers who rank in the top 25% and meet the GPA requirement earn a place on the All-American Academic Team.
