Four Muskingum Volleyball Players Named CSC Academic All-District
The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced its 2025 Academic All-District Volleyball Team, recognizing four Muskingum University juniors for their exceptional performances both on the court and in the classroom. Honorees include Alexis Bradley, Katharine Clayton, Mackenzie Krous, and Cierra Lathrop.
The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced its 2025 Academic All-District Volleyball Team, recognizing four Muskingum University juniors for their exceptional performances both on the court and in the classroom. Honorees include Alexis Bradley, Katharine Clayton, Mackenzie Krous, and Cierra Lathrop.
Junior Alexis Bradley was the conductor for the Muskingum offense, she led the team with 677 assists and averaged 6.04 per set which ranked fifth in the conference. Bradley also contributed on defense, adding 331 digs, which was good for 2.96 per set.
Junior Katharine Clayton anchored the Muskies' backcourt all season, earning OAC Libero of the Year and Second Team All-OAC honors for her elite defensive play. She was recognized four times during the season as the OAC Defensive Player of the Week. Clayton led the Muskies in digs and ranked third among the OAC in digs per set. Clayton had 594 digs on the year.
Junior Mackenzie Krous, a First team All-OAC honoree was the driving force for the Muskies attack this year, she started all 29 matches and averaged 3.36 kills per set with a .200 hitting percentage. Krous led the OAC in total kills, with 376. She was also a valuable piece on the defense, adding 448 digs and 33 total blocks. She ranked 7th for total digs in the OAC. Krous tallied 415 points on the year, which was good for second overall in the OAC.
Junior Cierra Lathrop was a valuable defender for the Muskingum defense, she played in every match and tallied 298 digs, 2.66 per set. Lathrop led the Muskies in services aces with 42 this year.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
