Niemeyer and Krous Named Second Team All-OAC
The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that junior Josie Niemeyer and sophomore Mackenzie Krous have been named All-OAC selections for their outstanding 2024 season. Both Niemeyer and Krous was named Second Team All-OAC.
The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that junior Josie Niemeyer and sophomore Mackenzie Krous have been named All-OAC selections for their outstanding 2024 season. Both Niemeyer and Krous was named Second Team All-OAC.
This Season, Niemeyer has been a powerhouse on the court this season, competing in all 24 matches and 94 sets. She posted career-highs with 239 kills, a 2.54 kill percentage, 19 solo blocks, 25 block assists, and 23 service aces. She also added 71 digs and 11 assists. Niemeyer averaged 3.2 points per set. Earlier this season she was named OAC Offensive Player of the week.
Krous, last years Newcomer of the Year, raised the bar even higher this season, achieving career-highs with 688 receptions, 310 kills, averaging 3.30 kills per set, 338 digs, 27 service aces, and 19 assists. She averaged 3.7 points per set. Krous competed in all 24 matches and 94 sets this season.
Krous and Niemeyer will look to lead the Muskies in the OAC tournament against Mount Union on Tuesday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m.
