Fatheree named OAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum volleyball senior outside hitter Brooke Fatheree was named the OAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for her outstanding performances at Mount Union and against Baldwin Wallace. She helped guide the Muskies to a 3-1 record last week.
The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum volleyball senior outside hitter Brooke Fatheree was named the OAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for her outstanding performances at Mount Union and against Baldwin Wallace. She helped guide the Muskies to a 3-1 record last week.
At Mount Union, she tallied 28 digs and a team-high 28 kills in a sweep against the Purple Raiders. While against Baldwin Wallace, she earned 42 digs and 26 kills going 1-1 against the Yellow Jackets.
In those four games, she amassed 70 digs with 4.67 digs per set and notched 54 kills with 3.6 kills per set for the Muskies.
This season, Fatheree has tallied a team-best 163 total digs averaging 4.66 digs per set, while also grabbing 104 kills and averaging 2.97 kills per set for Muskingum. She currently ranks fourth in the OAC in digs and digs per set.
The Muskies hit the road to take in Capital in OAC play on Tuesday, March 30. Game 1 is set for 6:00 p.m. and Game 2 is at 8:00 p.m. at the Capital Performance Arena.
