Whyte, Wallace, Derry and Keylor named CSC Academic All-District
Four Muskingum track & field student-athletes have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team: senior Colton Whyte, junior Averi Wallace, sophomore Abigail Derry, and senior Emily Keylor.
Four Muskingum track & field student-athletes have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team: senior Colton Whyte, junior Averi Wallace, sophomore Abigail Derry, and senior Emily Keylor.
Whyte, a triple major in accounting, business management, and economics, ranked sixth in the Great Lakes Region in the indoor 400 meters (49.65). He also placed 10th in the outdoor 400 (48.36) and 37th in the 200 (22.07). He was a key member of Muskingum's 4x400 relay team that finished 12th in the region (3:19.84) and the 4x100 relay team that ranked 24th (42.74).
Wallace, an exercise science major, ranked 47th regionally in the indoor 400 (1:02.27) and 48th in the outdoor 400 (1:00.28). She also helped lead the 4x100 and 4x400 relay squads to 23rd (51.06) and 24th (4:09.20) regional finishes, respectively.
Derry, a molecular biology major, posted a 21st-place regional ranking in the indoor 800 meters with a time of 2:21.96 and placed 48th in the indoor mile at 5:23.58.
Keylor, who is majoring in psychology and child and family studies, ranked 34th in the region in the javelin.
The 2025 Academic All-District Track & Field Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Nominees must be ranked in the top-50 in an individual event for track and field within the region or have placed in the top-50 at the cross country regional meet.
