The Muskingum women's track & field team delivered an impressive performance this weekend, securing multiple top finishes across track and field events.
The Basics
- Washington and Lee Invitational - Lexington, Virginia
Track Events
- The 4x100-meter relay team of junior Averi Wallace, senior Jacquelynn Grinnell, junior Liberty Bunting, and freshman Mea Kaufman secured third place with a time of 51.90.
- In the 400-meter dash, Wallace continued to impress, finishing fourth with a time of 1:00.51.
- The 4x400-meter relay team, featuring Kaufman, junior Abigail Derry, junior Emily Keylor, and Wallace, also claimed third place, clocking in at 4:10.78.
Field Events
- Sophomore Marissa Hill delivered a solid performance in the high jump, clearing 1.49m to finish fourth.
- The Muskies excelled in the discus throw, with sophomore Jessica Dotson earning second place with a throw of 35.62m. Freshman Jasmine Matthews secured ninth with a mark of 31.13m.
- Dotson also shined in the shot put, finishing second with a throw of 11.53m.
- In the hammer throw, junior Amber Corll placed ninth (39.40m), followed closely by junior Avrie O'Neil in tenth (39.27m) and junior Kylie Andres in eleventh (38.98m).
