Women's tennis slips in battle at Mount Union

The Muskingum women's tennis team slipped in three three-set battles en route to falling at Mount Union on Saturday, 7-0.

In singles action, sophomore Scarlett Martell fell in a three-set thriller against Emma Thornton at third singles 6-4, 3-6, 2-6.

Senior Jane Boyer dropped a three-set heartbreaker at fourth singles against Emily Peel 7-6, 3-6, 5-10.

Senior Kaylee Anstaett rounded out the strong Muskie effort at fifth singles against Chloe Bancroft. Anstaett slipped 6-1, 2-6, 4-6. 

Muskingum next plays at Washington & Jefferson on Monday, April 17. The match time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
