The Muskingum women's soccer team dropped their home match against 15th-ranked Case Western, 5-1 on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics

How it Happened

The Spartans racked up three first-half goals to take a 3-0 advantage at the break.
Muskingum used an offensive push in the opening two minutes of the second half to force a corner kick, which led to the Muskies scoring their lone goal of the contest. The goal came from Hannah Ritchie who scored off the opportunity.
Case Western added two more goals in the second half to pull away from Muskingum and take the 5-1 victory.

Inside the Numbers

Freshman Hannah Ritchie led the Muskie attack with one goal.
Seniors Skyllar Strong and Monique Reil each tallied one shot to round out the Muskie scoring effort.
Junior goalkeeper Kelly Buck secured 10 saves in 90 minutes of work between the pipes for Muskingum.
Case Western was led by Samantha Cramin who had two goals.
