Edwards and Gencarelli Earn Regional Recognition

Muskingum wrestling gained regional attention as junior Robert Edwards Jr. and senior Anthony Gencarelli have been recognized in the latest Region 4 rankings. Edwards Jr. earned additional national recognition.

Edwards Jr., is currently ranked as the fifth heavyweight in Region 4. He has compiled a strong 19-7 record this season, showcasing his dominance on the mat with six falls and two technical falls. In addition to his regional ranking, Edwards Jr. has been named an honorable mention by d3wrestle.com in his weight class, making him a top 26 heavyweight in division 3.

At 197 pounds, Gencarelli has also earned a spot among the region's best, coming in at sixth in the Region 4 rankings. Gencarelli holds a 2-5 record this season, including one technical fall, demonstrating his potential in a highly competitive weight class.

The Fighting Muskies will look to build on this momentum as they prepare for the final stretch of the season and the upcoming regional championships.
