After Otterbein grabbed the opener at 125, sophomore Joseph Slatzer answered with a fall at 133 to even the score. Junior Lee Zoganas followed with another pin at 141, giving the Muskies a 12–6 lead.
Otterbein regrouped with wins at 149 and 157 and added a forfeit at 165 to move ahead, but the Muskies kept the dual within reach. At 174, freshman Breyden Hill posted a 12–5 decision, and senior Caden Kenworthy added a 6–2 win at 184 to close the gap to 21–18.
Otterbein earned a fall at 197, but Muskingum closed strong. In the final match of the night, sophomore Robert Edwards Jr. secured a 5–0 decision at heavyweight to bring the final score to 27–21.
The Muskies will be back in action this Saturday, December 6, at the Blue Jay Classic at Elizabethtown. The first bout is set to start at 9:30 AM.
