The Muskingum wrestling team fell in Ohio Athletic Conference action to Ohio Northern on senior night in the Anne C. Steele Center, 46-0.
With the loss the Muskies fall to 1-7 overall and 0-6 in conference play, while Ohio Northern lifts its record to 14-8 overall and 3-4 in OAC competition.
Notable
- Prior to the meet, senior's Cody Jenkins, Marvis Hood, and John Brodman (posthumously) who tragically passed away in 2017 and would have been a senior this season, were honored by the Muskingum wrestling team.
Leading the Muskies on the mat was junior Garrett Mitchel and freshman Noah DeHainaut. Mitchel competed in the 197 weight class and lost in a hard fought match by a 5-2 decision against Ben DePrest of Ohio Northern. DeHainaut fell in his 285 weight class match against Logan Painter of Ohio Northern in a tough 5-0 decision battle.
