The Muskingum Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Faith Engle as the next Head Coach of the Fighting Muskie Women's Lacrosse program.

Engle brings collegiate coaching experience, a strong recruiting background, and a passion for student-athlete development to Muskingum after serving as an assistant coach at Ohio Northern University and previously as a graduate assistant coach at Otterbein University.

"We welcome Faith into the Muskingum Athletic Department and are confident that she will enhance our program in ways that will impact recruitment, retention and competitive excellence," said Muskingum Associate Vice President for Athletics Kari Winters. "She brings a strong level of knowledge around game strategy and is excited to use our institutional strengths and facilities to recruit strong student-athletes into our women's lacrosse program. I am excited to watch her get to work!"

Since the summer of 2024, Engle has served as an assistant women's lacrosse coach at Ohio Northern, where she worked closely with student-athletes, assisted with practice planning, scouting reports, recruiting efforts, prospect clinics, and social media initiatives.

Prior to Ohio Northern, Engle spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Otterbein while completing her Master of Business Administration degree. Her responsibilities included goalkeeper development, recruiting, practice planning, film analysis, and student-athlete mentorship. During her time with the Cardinals, she helped coach an OAC Co-Goaltender of the Year.

In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Engle has served as a club coach with Resolute Lacrosse, one of Ohio's premier youth and club lacrosse organizations, where she has worked with high school and youth athletes while helping develop skills and prepare prospects for collegiate opportunities.

"I'm extremely excited and grateful to have the opportunity to lead the Muskingum University women's lacrosse program. The culture of the athletic department and shared mentality of the staff instantly drew me in," said Engle. "I cannot thank Kari Winters and the search committee enough for entrusting me with the next chapter of Muskingum women's lacrosse. I am looking forward to building a culture focused on hard work, determination, and a commitment to giving 100% in every endeavor."

A native of Illinois, Engle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management from Lewis University in 2022 before completing her MBA at Otterbein University in 2024.

As a student-athlete at Lewis, Engle was a standout goalkeeper for the Flyers women's lacrosse program while excelling academically. She was recognized on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll and earned multiple academic honors, including the Sport Management Excellence Award.

Engle has also participated in numerous coaching clinics and development opportunities, including the IWLCA Next Up Coaching Symposium, while working camps and clinics across the Midwest.

Engle will begin her duties immediately as she prepares the Fighting Muskies for the upcoming season.
