Women's Bowling wins Collegiate Club National Championship
The Muskingum University women's bowling team etched another unforgettable chapter in program history, winning the 2026 Collegiate Club National Championship and securing their place among the nation's elite. The Muskies topped Capital University in a thrilling title match to bring home their second National Championship in three years, a feat matched by only one other school in the tournament's history.
With the victory, the Muskies become just the third program ever to win the Collegiate Club National Championship twice, joining Wright State and Alma College. Even more impressively, Muskingum becomes only the second school to win the title twice within a three-year span, matching Alma's achievement.
From start to finish, the Muskies were dominant.
Junior Tayler Clark delivered a spectacular performance across championship weekend, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team and being named the Tournament MVP. Her consistency, poise, and clutch shot-making anchored Muskingum's run to the top.
The postseason accolades didn't stop there:
- Junior Tayler Clark – 1st Team Club All-American
- Senior Elizabeth Springsteen – 2nd Team Club All-American
- Senior Lillian Matteson, Sophomore Faith Smith, and Sophomore Bridget Cake – All-American Finalists
- Head Coach Doug Smith – National Coach of the Year Finalist
The Muskies' complete team effort was on display both days of competition. Their grit and togetherness propelled them to the top of the collegiate club bowling world once again.
