No. 20 Muskies Earn Third-Place Finish at NCAA Br. Patrick Lacey Tournament
The Muskingum women’s bowling team delivered a strong performance at the Unicorn Classic hosted at Wild Life Lanes, securing a second-place finish in a tightly contested field.
The No. 20th-ranked Muskingum women's bowling team showcased depth and determination at the NCAA Br. Patrick Lacey Tournament over the weekend, securing a third-place finish in a highly competitive field.
The Muskies were powered by standout individual performances, highlighted by Bridget Cake, who placed fourth overall to earn her first All-Tournament Team honor of the season. She was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Tayler Clark, who tied for fifth. Clark continues her impressive campaign with two All-Tournament Team selections and six top-25 finishes in six events.
Muskingum also benefitted from strong efforts across the roster:

Elizabeth Springsteen – 14th place (her fifth top-25 finish this year)

Faith Smith – 18th place (her fourth top-25 finish)

Lillian Matteson – anchored the team's best game of the event with a 185 in her 486 three-game series, helping close the tournament on a high note
Freshmen Crystal Yingst (289 total for two games), Izabelle Genet, and Peyton Mellring continued to make meaningful contributions, gaining valuable varsity experience that will elevate the program this season and in the years ahead.
The top of the leaderboard remained tight throughout the day. No. 13 St. Vincent captured the tournament title, while Lewis University (Chicago) narrowly clipped the Muskies for second place by just 11 pins.
