Taylor Earns NFCA Second Team All-American Honors
Muskingum senior Cara Taylor has been named a Second Team NFCA Division III All-American, becoming the program's first All-American selection since Krissy Hughes in 2019 and the first Second Team honoree since Mary Margaret Boda in 2010.
Taylor delivered one of the top offensive seasons in school history, hitting a program-record .507, breaking the previous mark held by Mandy Carnes (.500 in 2002). She also tied the single-season doubles record with 24, matching Krissy Hughes (2019), and added 55 runs scored and 32 RBIs. In addition, Taylor finished her career with a school-record 55 doubles, surpassing Carnes' previous record (51).
Earlier this year, Taylor was named the Gayle Lauth Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and First Team All-Region honors, capping a standout senior campaign.
The NFCA All-America teams are voted on by the Association's All-America Committees. The committee is comprised of one member head coach from each of the NCAA's eight regions. All student-athletes who were nominated by a member head coach and voted to the first- or second-team All-Region squads were eligible for All-America consideration.
