Taylor, Rodman, Timko, and Prince Named CSC Academic All-District
Muskingum softball senior Cara Taylor, junior Bethany Rodman, sophomore Kasey Timko, and junior Sydnie Prince have been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, recognizing their outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
Taylor, a general engineering major, put together a standout senior season with a .507 batting average. She totaled 74 hits, including 24 doubles, five triples, and two home runs, while scoring 55 runs, driving in 32 RBIs, and stealing 21 bases. Taylor led the OAC in batting average and won player of the year in the conference.
Rodman, a nursing major, batted .408 across 35 games with seven doubles, five home runs, and 30 RBIs. In the circle, she posted a 12-4 record with a 3.18 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 112.1 innings pitched.
Timko, a general engineering major, started all 42 games and hit .359 with 14 doubles, three triples, 37 RBIs, and eight stolen bases.
Prince, an exersice science major, appeared in 32 games and finished with 16 hits, and six RBIs.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be nominated for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be a starter or significant contributor to their team, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and reach sophomore athletic and academic standing at the school.
