The Muskies used timely hitting and strong performances in the circle to earn a doubleheader sweep over Capital and maintain their position getting closer to OAC tournament play.

How it Happened
Game One:
After falling behind 3–1 in the opening inning, Muskingum settled in and chipped away at the deficit. The Muskies added a run in the third before taking control with a three-run fifth inning, highlighted by RBIs from sophomore Emily Travis and pinch hitter senior Elizabeth Wauford. Muskingum finished with nine hits on the day, led by senior Cara Taylor and sophomore Kasey Timko with two and three hits respectively, while junior Tareyn Born tossed a complete game in the circle to help secure the 5–3 comeback win over Capital.
Game Two:
Muskingum used a balanced offensive attack to complete the sweep with a 9–3 win over Capital. After taking an early lead in the first inning, the Muskies broke the game open with a four-run third and continued to add insurance runs throughout the afternoon. Junior Bethany Rodman led the way with a home run and three RBIs, while Travis added two doubles and two RBIs in the win. Muskingum totaled 11 hits, and Rodman also earned the complete-game victory in the circle as the Muskies improved to 25-7 overall and 10-2 in OAC play.
