Taylor and Rapol named CSC Academic All-District
Muskingum softball junior outfielder Cara Taylor and sophomore outfielder Olivia Rapol have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, recognizing their outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
Muskingum softball junior outfielder Cara Taylor and sophomore outfielder Olivia Rapol have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, recognizing their outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
Taylor, a general engineering major, posted an impressive .415 batting average this season. She recorded 49 hits, including 12 doubles and three triples, while scoring 30 runs, driving in 14 RBIs, and stealing 19 bases—the fourth-most in the OAC.
Rapol, a middle childhood education major, appeared in 35 games. She contributed six RBIs and six runs scored, primarily playing in the flex position throughout the season.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be nominated for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be a starter or significant contributor to their team, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and reach sophomore athletic and academic standing at the school.
