Three Muskies headline Men's Outdoor Track & Field at OAC Championships

Junior Colton Whyte, senior Tristan Makowski, and sophomore Ryan Irwin headlined the Muskingum men's outdoor track & field team at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.

The Basics

• Location: Heidelberg University
• Muskingum finished with 29 total team points.
• Mount Union won the event with 201 total team points.

Notables

• Senior Tristan Makowski and sophomore Ryan Irwin earned All-OAC Honors for their performances at the event.
• On Thursday during the prelims, junior Colton Whyte set the school record in the 400 meter dash with a time of 48.29.

On The Track

• Irwin earned All-OAC Honors after finished second in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.80.
• Whyte logged a seventh place finish in the 400 meter dash finals with a time of 48.53. Whyte set the new school record in the prelims with a time of 48.29. 
• The 4x40 meter relay team of junior Doudley Jaboin, freshman Kohen Cox, freshman James Jackson, and Whyte finished in seventh place with a time of 3:26.82.
• The 4x100 meter relay team of Irwin, sophomore Trey Gastrich, Jaboin, and Whyte finished in eighth place with a time of 44.09.

In The Field

• Makowski earned All-OAC Honors after placing second in the shot put event with a mark of 15.66 meters.
• Freshman Daven Gibson placed fifth in the high jump event after hitting a mark of 1.97 meters.
• Freshman Thomas Christman logged a sixth place finish in the high jump event with a mark of 1.91 meters.
• Whyte finished eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.02 meters.
