Jacob Edwards is entering his first season as Assistant Coach for the Muskingum Track and Field program. Edwards is specifying in Throws for the Muskingum Track and Field program. 

Edwards arrives in New Concord after graduating from the University of Dubuque, Iowa. Edwards graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. Edwards also graduated with a special concentration in Sociology.  

During his time at the University of Dubuque, Edwards was a 4x NCAA National Qualifier, 2x All-American (1 season Outdoor, 1 season Indoor), USTFCCCA Academic All-American, and is 23rd All-Time NCAA Division 3 Shotput Throw. Edwards finished his career at Dubuque ranking 2nd all-time in Outdoor Shot Put (18.29m), 3rd all-time in Discus (50.36m), and 5th all-time in Hammer Throw (57.02m). In Indoor Edwards ranked 2nd all-time in shot put (17.38m) Edwards was also the Head Throws Coach for FASST Track (Functional Speed & Athletic Training) where he designed and executed training plans for high schools and collegiate-level throwers (shotput, discus, hammer), supported recruiting events, provided daily coaching, and delivered strength training and conditioning for athletes.
