Former All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) honoree Nick Congrove ’24 has been named the head coach of the Muskingum men’s and women’s golf programs.

Congrove returns to his alma mater after an accomplished collegiate career with the Fighting Muskies, where he established himself among the program’s top performers. During his career, he competed in 37 rounds and posted a 77.27 scoring average, ranking among Muskingum’s top career leaders.

Individually, Congrove produced several standout seasons and tournament performances. He recorded a 76.82 stroke average during the 2022-23 season, placing him among the best single-season marks in program history.   Additionally, he compiled one of the program’s top single-season birdie totals with 48 during the 2023-24 campaign.

Congrove also turned in strong postseason performances, including a 70 (-2) round at the OAC Championship and a 293 total at the OAC Championships, both ranking among notable performances in program history.

“Muskingum means a great deal to me, and I’m excited and motivated to give back to the program,” said Congrove. “I look forward to helping our golfers grow and make the most of their journey at Muskingum.”

“Coach Congrove is a true Muskie and we are excited to watch his zest for life drive the future of both our men's and women's golf programs,” said Associate Vice President for Athletics Kari Winters.  “Nick was a multi-sport athlete during his time at Muskingum and his beliefs around having a balanced student-athlete lifestyle was evident throughout all conversations.  I am confident that our golfers will be strong members of the Muskingum University community under his leadership.”

In addition, Cam Henry ’24 will join the program as an assistant coach. A recent standout for the Muskies, Henry ranked among the program’s top players, posting a 74.24 scoring average in 2022-23, the best single-season mark in school history, while also earning multiple tournament victories during his career.
