Muskies take third at Capital Kickoff
The Muskingum men’s bowling team was back in action Sunday at the Capital Kickoff Classic and brought home a solid 3rd place finish.
The Muskingum men's bowling team was back in action Sunday at the Capital Kickoff Classic and brought home a solid 3rd place finish.
Two Muskies got their first varsity starts, freshman Jacob Moravcik averaged 210.5 for his 2 games and sophomore Alex Smith add an average of 177.5 for his 2 games. Juniors Talon Newton and Jacob Willard continue to provide solid production, averaging 205 and 202.6, respectively, for 3 games.
The Muskies again demonstrated a formidable baker presence with a tournament high 2123 total for 12 games (212.3 average). The performance was highlighted by an opening 277 game that included 9 consecutive strikes.
The two top 3 finishes vaulted the Muskie Men to #3 in the nation according to power point.
The Muskies travel to Detroit, Michigan, for the 54th Annual Brunswick Midwest Collegiate Classic (Tier 1) at Imperial Lanes on October 4th-5th. The field of over 50 of the top teams in the nation will be an excellent early-season test for the Muskies.
