Men's Bowling ranks 18th in final USBC National Poll

The Muskies record the highest final ranking in school history following an outstanding performance at the Hoosier Classic this past weekend. Muskingum finished fourth at the Hoosier Classic with 8290 total pins. Leading the Muskies at the tournament was senior Evan Thro who tallied 1170 total pins and finished fifth as an individual. Thro earned a spot on the All-Tournament team for his performance.
Over the course of the season the Muskies have runner-up finishes at the Ohio Bowling Conference #1 and the Ohio Bowling Conference #2. They have added a third place finish at the DO Apparel/Brunswick tournament, Muskie Mash, and the Ohio Bowling Conference #3. The Muskies also have key tournament results with a semi-final finish in bracket play at The Raider Classic and a fourth place finish at the Ohio Bowling Conference #4 which helped them secure runner-up in the OBC.
Thro continues to guide the Muskies with the best average on the team throughout the season. Thro averages 216.902 per game and has improved to the 12th best average by an individual out of 695 recorded players in the United States Bowling Congress.
The Muskies will take this standing and look to continue their dominance at the United States Bowling Congress Sectionals at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan. The tournament is scheduled to start on Friday, March 7.
