Thro leads Men's Bowling to impressive third place finish at Hoosier Classic

The Muskingum men's bowling team finished in third place at the Hoosier Classic after an impressive performance over the weekend. The Muskies were led by senior Evan Thro who bowled his way onto the All-Tournament team.

Notables

• Senior Evan Thro placed fifth as an individual during the tournament. With this performance he earned the fifth spot on the All-Tournament team.

• Muskingum placed third out of 78 teams. 
• The Muskies tallied a total team score of 8290 in the qualifying stages.
• Webber International won the qualifying part of the event with a score of 8709.
• The Muskies were knocked out in bracket play securing the third place finish.

• Senior Evan Thro led the Muskies with 1170 total pins in the individual rounds. Thro never went below 200 total pins in a game as he bowled rounds of 232-256-224-202-256.
• Freshman Jacob Lehn fired off 1081 total pins to pace the Muskies. Lehn put together an impressive stretch of games that went 212-244-247-159-219.
• Sophomore Talon Newton finished with 1054 total pins. Newton concluded the event with games of 202-165-224-226-237.
• Junior Brody Wildenmann added 916 total pins through four games of action. Wildenmann averaged the second highest pins per game for the Muskies as he went 191-221-287-217.
• Junior John Jacobs put together 709 total pins in four games. Jacobs tallied games of 206-186-154-163.
• Freshman Caelan Guthrie bowled two games and tallied 397 total pins. Guthrie put out two games of 183 and 214.
