Muskingum Men's Basketball Senior Guard Duane Davis has earned OAC player of the week after his dominant play through the Muskies first 3 games. Davis has led the Muskies to a 3-0 start for the first time since the 2016-17 season. Through the first three games, Davis is averaging 25.7 points, 5 rebounds, 4.3 steals, and 1.3 assists per game.
The Muskies opened the season with a matchup against Carnegie Mellon, earning a 75-74 victory on a game winning layup by Davis with 2 just two seconds remaining. Davis finished the game with 24 points, 7 steals, and 4 rebounds.
The Muskies traveled to Kentucky for a weekend trip to face Transylvania and Asbury. First they faced Transylvania, earning a 92-81 victory. Davis poured in 32 points to lead the way for the Muskies. Davis added 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal in the win.
The Muskies defeated Asbury, 81-77 to wrap up their Kentucky trip. Davis had 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and an assist to lead the way for Muskingum.
The Muskies will be back in action on Thursday, November 20th when they will take on La Roche for their Home Opener. Tip off is slated for 7:00PM in the Steele Center.
