The Muskingum men's basketball team was picked to finish third in the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Preseason Poll.
Head Coach Nathan Wahle, the reigning OAC Coach of the Year, returns three starters and a strong core of contributors from a squad that placed fourth in the conference last season and reached the OAC Tournament Semifinals.
Leading the way once again are First Team All-OAC standout Duane Davis and Honorable Mention All-OAC guard Owen Emig.
Davis delivered a breakout season in 2024-25, matching the OAC lead with a career-best 18.1 points per game while becoming the 33rd player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
Emig proved to be one of the league's most consistent offensive threats, finishing 12th in scoring (13.4 ppg) and topping the OAC with 2.3 made three-pointers per game.
A deep group of returners, including junior Nathan Walker, sophomore Alieu Ceesay, junior Brett Devault, sophomore Terrell Darden, junior Reed Coconis, sophomore Phil Towns, senior Logan Stotzer, and junior Tanner Holbert, will continue to bolster the lineup. Muskingum will also welcome an exciting group of first-year talent ready to make an impact.
The Muskies tip off the 2025–26 campaign at Carnegie Mellon on Tuesday, November 11, with game time set for 5:30 p.m.
