Dempsey named All-OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Muskingum junior Marcus Dempsey has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his spectacular play during the week of November 19-25.

Dempsey led the team with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists in the Muskies 81-80 victory over North Park on Saturday. He shot 8-for-17 (47.1%) from the field, including 4-for-8 (50.0%) from the arc.

On Sunday, Dempsey went off with a season-high 34 points on 12-of-20 (60.0%) shooting. He also added a team-best seven rebounds in their 92-69 win over Mount St. Joseph.

Dempsey scored 58 total points on 54.1% shooting from the field (20-of-37), while adding 18 rebounds and eight assists in two games last week.
