The Muskingum men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season as they fell to Ohio Athletic Conference foe Capital 86-68 Thursday evening at the Capital Center.

First Half
- Sophomore Jarrell Marsh led the Muskies in the first half as he recorded 13 points and five rebounds.
- Freshman Marcus Dempsey chipped in 12 points.
- Muskingum shot 13-for-26 (.500) from the field and 5-for-12 (.417) from three-point land.
- Capital was led by Austin Schreck with eight points and three boards.
- The Crusaders shot 15-for-33 (.455) from the field.
- Muskingum used a 7-0 run led by senior Joshua Keyes to take the early 13-8 advantage with 16:31 remaining.
- The Muskies took its largest lead of the half, 36-27 with 2:54 remaining as Marsh went 3-for-3 (1.00) from the free throw line.
- Muskingum led at the break 39-33.
Second Half
- Marsh posted nine points in the second half, while sophomore Devon Peart chipped in eight points.
- The Muskies shot 10-for-33 (.333) from the field and 3-for-10 (.300) from behind the arc.
- The Crusaders saw three players finish in double figures.
- Tyrel Jackson led the way with 15 points, while Schreck and Joey Weingartner both finished with 12 points each.
- Capital shot 19-for-38 (.500) from the field and 5-for-10 (.500) from three-point land.
- The Crusaders dominated the second half outscoring the Muskies 53-29.
Post Game
- Marsh led Muskingum with a game-high 22 points and seven rebounds.
- Dempsey finished with 13 points, while Keyes added seven points and 10 rebounds.
- Schreck paced Capital with 20 points.
- Muskingum finished the game shooting 23-for-56 (.411) from the field and 8-for-22 (.364) from three-point.
- Capital had the advantage shooting 34-for-71 (.479) from the field.
