Henry Flickinger enters his first season as linebackers coach, run game coordinator and special teams coordinator for the Muskingum football program.

Flickinger arrives in New Concord after serving as special teams coordinator and linebackers coach at NCAA Division II Adams State University in Colorado. With the Grizzlies, Flickinger assisted with the weekly defensive game plan, coached and schemed all special teams units, and coached and led the meeting room with the linebackers.

Before Adams State, Flickinger was linebackers coach at Western New Mexico University (D2) for one season. He led the linebackers with the Mustangs and helped with the weekly defensive and special teams game plan.

Flickinger spent three years at Presentation College (NAIA), coaching outside linebackers for two seasons and serving as the defensive backs/punt coordinator for one season. During his time, the Saints led the conference in punting average and multiple players earned all-league accolades.

Flickinger earned his master’s in business administration from Tabor College in Kansas while working as a graduate assistant coach for the Bluejays. He coached linebackers and defensive backs and also served as head equipment manager.

In 2018, he graduated from Tabor with a B.A. in sports management. Flickinger was also a member of the Bluejays football team, which won three conference championships and notched one playoff win.
