Doug Crawford is entering his first season as assistant coach for the Muskingum football program.

A former student-athlete and Alumni of Muskingum University, Crawford excelled both on the field and in leadership roles. During his time at Muskingum, he set multiple school records, including single-game and single-season passing yardage records, and was honored as the Team MVP and Bill Cannonball Cooper Offensive Player of the Year in 2023. He was also named OAC Player of the Week twice and is a Madden National Champion for the Esports team (2021, 2022, 2023). 

Crawford brings an energetic and focused approach to his new role as a coach, having served as a team captain where he played a key role in motivating and leading his teammates. As a coach, he has a deep understanding of football strategy, player development, and the importance of strong leadership, and he is dedicated to creating a culture of excellence both on and off the field. In addition to his on-field accomplishments, Crawford has worked as a football intern at Muskingum, where he helped design and lead off-season workouts, analyzed game footage, and coordinated position meetings to enhance team skills and strategies. 

His commitment to hard work, problem-solving, and team success makes him a valuable addition to the coaching staff for the upcoming season.
