Conner Gurney Named 2nd Team AFCA Division 3 Coaches All-American

Muskingum senior linebacker Conner Gurney has been named Second Team AFCA Division III Coaches All-American for his outstanding play this season.

Gurney, a four-year starter and anchor of the Muskie defense, finished the 2025 campaign with 86 tackles (Top 2 in the OAC), 11.5 tackles for loss (3rd in OAC), and two forced fumbles. His honor marks the first Muskie All-American selection since 2019 (Tim Ousley).

The AFCA recognition caps an exceptional career in which Gurney totaled 206 tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, and one interception. He also served as a team captain in 2025 and earned First Team All-OAC honors last month.

The AFCA has named All-America teams since 1945 and now recognizes athletes across all five divisions, with selections made exclusively by coaches.
