Bio
The Muskingum University Athletic Department has named Jake Krupar Muskingum baseball head coach.
Krupar will enter his fourth season as Head Coach of the Muskingum baseball team while he resides in Zanesville, Ohio with his wife Sophie.
In his third season leading the Muskies, he propelled the program to an incredible 28-12 record. The 28 wins was a school record tying mark and included sweeps over OAC foes Marietta, Heidelberg, and Otterbein with ranked wins over Wash. & Jeff. and Mount Union. This was Krupar's third season with at least 20 total wins. Krupar helped guide five Muskies to All-OAC honors which included coaching the 2025 OAC Baseball Player of the Year.
In Krupar's second season as head coach, he helped fuel the Muskies to a second straight 20-win season. This marked the first consecutive 20-win seasons since the 2009 and 2010 campaigns for Muskingum. The Muskies finished the year 20-19, and with Krupar's fast paced approach, the Muskies were highlighted by being 5th in the country in stolen bases. Krupar is also credited with leading four All-OAC honorees during the season.
In Krupar's first season at the helm, he led the program to it's first 20-win season since 2010. The Muskies finished the year 22-18, and also saw three players named All-OAC honorees.
Krupar arrives back in New Concord after one season as an assistant coach for the Butler University baseball program. At Butler, Krupar coached the outfielders and was the baserunning coordinator and assistant hitting coach. He was the first base coach during games and directed Butler's youth camp initiatives. Furthermore, Krupar was responsible for game day management, recruiting, community service efforts, and fundraising.
Before Butler, Krupar was the director of player development at Wofford College. He helped lead the team to its first-ever regular season Southern Conference Championship. The Terriers won 36 games, including a school record of 21 wins in conference play. Additionally, Krupar was responsible for implementing the Synergy video system and assisting the coaching staff with statistical analysis and player development.
Before Wofford, Krupar spent two seasons on the Muskingum baseball staff as an assistant coach. He was responsible for coaching the Muskie batters and outfielders while also serving as the recruiting coordinator. Krupar was Muskingum's head JV coach and strength and conditioning coordinator and developed the social media presence for the Muskie baseball program.
Before arriving at Muskingum, Krupar served as an assistant coach at Baldwin Wallace University. While with the Yellow Jackets, he worked with multiple All-OAC players as the team won the conference tournament and advanced to the NCAA Regional. He assisted in practices, recruiting, and coached the JV team. His duties also included coaching outfielders and assisting with hitters, camps, and video coordination.
Furthermore, Krupar worked as an assistant coach with the Stark County Terriers collegiate baseball team in the summer of 2017.
Before coaching, Krupar was a four-year letterwinner for the University of Toledo baseball program. He helped lead the Rockets to the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament for three straight years and earned Academic All-MAC honors in 2017 and the Scholar Baller Award from 2014-2017.
A native of East Sparta, Ohio, Krupar graduated from Toledo in 2017 with a B.S. in criminal justice and completed his master's degree in education at Muskingum in 2020.
