Muskingum spring student-athletes receive extra eligibility from NCAA
After the NCAA announced the cancellation of all remaining winter and spring championships in response to the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, the Division III Administrative Committee granted an extra year of eligibility to all spring sports student-athletes.
After the NCAA announced the cancellation of all remaining winter and spring championships in response to the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, the Division III Administrative Committee granted an extra year of eligibility to all spring sports student-athletes.
The Division III measure approved on Friday, March 13, includes an additional semester and season of eligibility for all student-athletes participating in spring sports. In Division III, student-athletes have 10 semesters or 15 quarters to get in four seasons of participation. With this move by the committee, the 2020 spring semester will not count toward their 10 semesters or four seasons.
The extra year of eligibility is available to Muskingum's spring sports teams that had senior student-athletes on their rosters. Those teams include baseball, softball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's golf, men's track & field, and women's track & field.
