Muskingum University has announced that Taylour Huey ’18 has been named Senior Woman Administrator and will remain as head volleyball coach, serving as a member of the Athletics Leadership Team. In her new role, Huey will represent Muskingum at both Ohio Athletic Conference and NCAA meetings.

Huey is coming off an exceptional season in which she was named OAC Coach of the Year after leading the Muskies to a third-place conference finish and a semifinal appearance in the OAC Tournament. In her first season as head coach, she guided Muskingum to a 13-win campaign and an OAC Tournament berth. Her program has also produced multiple All-OAC, Academic All-OAC, and Academic All-District honorees.

"I’m excited to see Taylour grow and thrive in this leadership role within Muskingum Athletics," said Muskingum Director of Athletics Kari Winters. "Her vision for enhancing the student-athlete experience will help our department continue to succeed in the ever-evolving landscape of Division III athletics."

Huey previously spent four years on the Muskingum staff as an assistant and associate head coach, contributing to nationally ranked seasons, back-to-back OAC Regular-Season Championships, an NCAA Tournament victory, and multiple All-American honors.

A former standout student-athlete for the Muskies, Huey recorded 837 kills and 1,034 points and was a two-time Second Team All-OAC honoree. She graduated in 2018 with a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology and resides in Zanesville with her husband, Michael, and their three daughters: Addison, Emerson, and Karson.
